Moth Series 12- The Humble

Description

One day I went on my usual bug hunt in the mountains and I couldn't find any moths.  I found katydids and beetles and was bitten by mosquitoes, but no moths at all!  After a couple hours, I just gave up and headed home.  On the way back, I came across a dead moth and took a picture of it, just so I'd have something to show for my effort.  I decided to just totally give up after that.  Back in the city, I was waiting for a light and decided to just turn the corner instead.  I almost never walk down that particular street.  The only thing on it is an elderly care center in an ugly orange building.  But I found this little moth on the side of the building!!  I was so happy and surprised.  I'd seen one of these before, but was never able to get a picture of one.  That was pretty exciting.  I wish there was a way to convey to a moth how excited you are to see it.

This humble moth person keeps its head bowed down.  Small, it tries not to get in the way of others.

What are Moth People?
Moth People live quietly and peacefully in their aristocratic estates.  They rarely feed or move around, spending most of their time in meditation.  They have no arms with which to dabble in idle arts, instead taking up more refined pastimes such as admiring the chandeliers or watching the moon rise.  Walking around in their homes, you may feel chilled by the intense silence there and frightened by their odd figures and lack of expressions.  Fear not, they mean no harm.  They communicate with each other through pheromones, but can be coaxed to hold a conversation with another beast if the situation calls for it.
