Artslam [link] begins soon, which means 3 months of my free time being all eaten up by ART! In anticipation, after having prepared myself mentally for this, I feel a sudden urge to reach out to fellow artists. Hey guys! I'm really lazy about uploading my art. I feel antsy, though, I want to put up some things before the Slam starts!
Anyway, since I'm getting excited about art, I have some questions for all my watchers!
1. What's the oldest picture you have?
I think mine's a picture I did in kindergarten of my family. Everyone's from a side view, with no arms or hands, and has a circle head with a giant triangular nose sticking out.
2. When was the first moment you felt - Oh hey, if I practise, I might get better! Let's do this!
I don't think I reached that point until like... I'd way graduated college.
3. When you first started DA were you really excited, didn't care, or nervous and freaking out?
I was nervous and freaking out, and then disappointed that I didn't automatically become famous just by putting stuff on the internet.
4. What's your comfort zone? Something you can just do anytime, something relaxing to draw, something like that.
For me it's robots.. I don't have to worry about the shape or the proportions, I just make lots of simple lines and dots without thinking about it.
5. Do you draw for someone or for yourself?
I don't know about you, but I always have someone in mind when I'm drawing. I try to draw it the way that person would like it, and that encourages me to try harder. If I draw just for myself, I get sloppy and never finish. Or never start.
6. What was the first contest your art was ever in, or prize you ever got, or the first time someone ever paid you to draw something?
In 5th grade I cut a rubber stamp of some leaves. My teacher used the stamp to make art and put it in the elementary school art show with my name on it.. I was pretty confused.. I made the stamp, but I didn't make the art!
7. What work of art are you most proud of?
This is hard for me.. I'm much more proud of my photography than any of my art.. Art is like a transient state of getting better at something.. a process, not a result. But I really do like this one because it really portrays the emotion I wanted to get at.

That's all! Now it's your turn to answer my questions!
